Sumter American Legion Fair

The Sumter American Legion Fair returns Sept. 17th through 27th, 2026 at 30 South Artillery Drive bringing 11 days of rides, fair food, entertainment, and community traditions.
The annual fair remains one of the region’s long-running fall events and gives families across Sumter and surrounding South Carolina communities another reason to mark September on the calendar. Visitors can expect amusement rides, midway games, and popular fair food throughout the event. Live entertainment and special activities will add to the experience as the fair continues through September 27.

    Agriculture remains an important part of the Sumter American Legion Fair. Livestock exhibitions and barn competitions allow local participants to showcase their animals while continuing a tradition closely connected to the fair’s history.

Opening day is Thursday, September 17th. Gates open at 4pm. Join us for our opening day celebration.

Military Appreciation Day follows on Friday, September 18, with special discounts available for military guests.

With more than a week of activities planned, the Sumter American Legion Fair offers families, residents, and visitors a chance to enjoy one of Sumter’s signature community events.
